Privacy Policy
GeoAlarm is a location-based alarm app for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how GeoAlarm handles information when you use the app.
Information GeoAlarm uses
GeoAlarm uses location permission to detect when your device is near a destination you selected for an alarm. Location processing for alarms happens on your device.
GeoAlarm may store alarm information locally on your device, such as alarm names, destination coordinates, radius settings, schedules, and app preferences. This information is used to provide the app's alarm features.
Information GeoAlarm does not collect
- GeoAlarm does not upload your live location to a GeoAlarm server.
- GeoAlarm does not upload saved destination coordinates, alarm names, radius settings, or schedule details to a GeoAlarm server.
- GeoAlarm does not sell your personal information.
Location permission
GeoAlarm asks for location permission so it can monitor whether you enter the alarm area. Background location permission may be requested so alarms can work when the app is not open. You can change or revoke location permission at any time in Android system settings.
Google Maps Platform
GeoAlarm uses Google Maps Platform services, including Google Maps SDK for Android and Places SDK, to display maps and help you search for places. When you use map or place search features, information such as search queries, selected place data, device information, and usage data may be processed by Google according to Google's policies.
For more information, review the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
GeoAlarm may show ads using Google Mobile Ads. Google Mobile Ads may process information such as your device information, advertising identifier, approximate location, app interactions, and ad interactions to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads.
GeoAlarm does not send saved destination coordinates, alarm names, radius settings, schedule details, or place search text to Google Mobile Ads as ad targeting data.
Where required, GeoAlarm shows Google's consent and privacy options before requesting ads. You can manage ad privacy options in the app when this option is available. For more information, review the Google Privacy Policy.
Analytics
GeoAlarm may use TelemetryDeck for optional anonymous app analytics. Analytics are used to understand app usage and stability. GeoAlarm does not send location coordinates, alarm names, radius settings, schedule details, or destination text through analytics.
You can turn analytics on or off in the app where this setting is available.
For more information, review the TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy.
Notifications
GeoAlarm may use notifications to show active alarm monitoring status and alert you when an alarm is triggered. Notification permission can be managed in Android system settings.
Data retention
Alarm data and preferences stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, reset app data, or uninstall the app. Anonymous analytics data, if enabled, is retained by TelemetryDeck according to its own policies. Advertising data is retained by Google according to Google's policies.
GeoAlarm does not include locally stored alarm data or app preferences in Android cloud backup. If you use Android device-to-device transfer during phone migration, Android may copy GeoAlarm app data directly from your old device to your new device.
Children's privacy
GeoAlarm is not directed to children under 13. GeoAlarm does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
