Samsung Now Bar troubleshooting
On Samsung One UI 8, Now Bar settings may show only some built-in apps by default. Even when GeoAlarm can show live alarm updates in the notification shade, third-party Live Updates may still not appear in Now Bar.
This is an advanced troubleshooting flow. Option names can vary by One UI version, language, or region, so follow the wording shown on your phone.
Check GeoAlarm permissions first
- Make sure notifications are allowed for GeoAlarm.
- Start a location alarm in GeoAlarm so the app shows a live alarm progress notification.
- Confirm that GeoAlarm's progress notification appears in the notification shade. If the notification itself does not appear, return to the app and check location, background location, and notification permissions first.
If Developer options are not enabled yet
- Open system Settings and search for "Build number".
- Tap "Build number" seven times.
- Complete the system verification prompt to enable Developer options.
If Developer options are already enabled
- Open system Settings and search for "Live notifications for all apps".
- Open that setting and turn it on.
- Return to GeoAlarm and trigger a live alarm progress notification again. It may then appear directly in Now Bar.
Notes
- This flow only affects whether Samsung Now Bar allows third-party Live Updates to appear.
- If the option is off, GeoAlarm still shows alarms through regular Android notifications.
- Developer options are advanced system settings. Decide whether to enable them based on your own comfort level.
